You should be able to get a MINIMUM of 200mhz out of that chip I think. But being a Tbird....I dunno. maybe up to 1.7ghz if ure lucky-u do have a volcano 7, so cooling shldnt be too much of a prob...

1.6ghz if you're lucky.
1.5-1.55 should be obtainable @ 1.85V
*shrugs*
Luck of the draw mate.
Just keep going till it doesn't :D

so should i leave my fbs at 133
and change the Vcore to 1.85V
hmmm this mobos have the fbs and the ram linked
i can't overclock the fbs with out overclocking the ram too
if that makes any differance
oh well here i go :)
ill post when i done
or off my flats mates computer if i have ****ed it

I'd try upping the FSB by about 10mhz or so, and try running, lets say...sisfoft burn-in wizard or something, then if it's ok, then try another 10mhz.
It might be a bit of a problem because you should be able to occlock the CPUs FSB to about 25/30mhz more than the standard, but you'll only be able to occlock ram by about 10/15mhz, unless you hav really good ram-cooling.
I'm not sure, but the V7 probably will not be enough if your going to alter the multiplier as well.
Just speaking on past experience on an Iwill mobo.

If you are looking to totally waste the bugger, try this:
change multiplier from 10.5 to 12.5, then up the FSB to 175, and put the CPU voltage to 1.85. If I was you, I'd get a Globalwin or Thermalright setup or something equivalent, I don't think the V7 is really that good. And get some of those Thermaltake ACTIVE Ram heatsinks, and maybe add a fan to your northbridge.
Oh, and when you said that the RAM speed increased as well, do you mean:
if FSB is 133Mhz, then Ram is running at DDR266.
If FSB is 166Mhz, then Ram is running at DDR333???
Cause in that case, put some PC2700 Ram in and rape the FSB.

2.1ghz from a tbird? wtf?
from memory i could only ever get mine up to 1533@1.85 stable, it would post at 1.7 but that would be it (with stock fsb, i was only playing with the multiplier)
/edit (swifty reminded me) i got the above speeds on h2o as well, i acutally ran a v7 for a while, i was getting temps of 60+ during the summer, they're a pretty sucky hsf really.

the Tbird 1.4 was and still is one of the hottest processors ever made. a V7 is cutting it close and nowhere near good enough for overclocking that 70W beast. to get a tbird beyond 1.4 you really want watercooling or a really good aircooling solution (PAL8045 + good case ventilation). not worthwhile imho.
i reckon with watercooling you'd get to 1.6ghz if you're lucky but on your current solution i wouldn't run it any higher than 1.5ghz and even then i'd only do it if it was stable without a voltage increase. leave the voltage at stock or at least below 1.8 until you get watercooling. :)
