*evil grin*
He indeed bought a non-optical 0wnage 2000 :D. So now there will be two of us 0wning the rest of you at L3's :p....
While they used to cost around $350 from HEC when they used to sell them, you can now get them off e-bay, shipping down here for more like $200 ;). And if you think that's expensive, have you seen top-of-the-line optical prices recently?

Heh, I won d@mn near every game at the last LAN, are you suuuurrre you want to take up a challenge like that boy?
*evil grin*
And as for you Sydog, man - where were your winning scores at the last L3? I don't remember you taking me down very often.... if at all....

heh heh
ancient chinese old man say
"bad workman blame sh!t skills on tools
good workman buy mr wongs fortune cookies"
:D :D
i seriously would never buy an optical own... or whatever, mainly due to the fact that in order to review one, a guy had to send 3 "oo2k" mice back to the manufacturor, and after that they stopped selling them in au.
i think it was an overclockers.com.au review, i dunno though..

is it a coincidence that the abbreviation of "non-optical" is NO?

im not saying i wouldnt buy an optical mouse, im saving for the logitech duel optical at the moment, just that specific optical ownage 2000 mouse i would not choose, high price ($200 vs $110) and the high chance of something going wrong, also it looks damn uncomfortable :D

Actually, it's surprisingly comfortable. Yes, it DOES look uncomfortable - but it isn't. Many hours of gaming has shown that to be the case.
And you have to admit the tranlucent top and cake tin are real sellers :D hehehehe....
I'm not sure what the deal is with those reviewers having so many problems. I don't know many people with my mouse ( makes my rig rather unique :D - Artifice will be only the second L3 person with one ), but those that do haven't had any issues . And as for durability - well, I've had mine for a year and a half. And it was SECOND hand at the time!!
