New Battlefield Map released

Christmas present from Dice :P

Coral Sea is an exciting new map set in the Pacific theater. The action is fast and furious as players test their piloting skills with a total of 24 planes available on the map. The action isn’t limited to dogfighting however as each side has a carrier that they need to defend at all costs. To win, you’ll need to sink the enemy carrier, and then fly through a buoy that appears amidst the wreckage of the ship. Throw in some land-based AA guns and a defensive gun or two in the mix, and you’ve got our latest recipe for a great Battlefield 1942 holiday treat!
Coral Sea was designed to play with 24 players. We recommend sever settings of 24 players for the Coral Sea map.

Hey were do OCNZ normaly play BF1942? I skim read a few older posts but ddn't see anything :(

been doing some skins for the general european panzer aus-g and Afrikan sherman firefly for soldats new realism mod version due out soon...lol...dice can only come up with a plane map..shiett...ive got some mean levels now wicked gazala..el_alamein and bocage...

oh well i spose they gotta do something..lol...well probably heavily mod it by weeks end.

Mack 10, [OCNZ] Battlefield players can normally be found on the Xtra special (50 players) server, or sometimes on the Jetstreamgames server. JSG doesnt yet have a super high number of players, and Xtra special is often full of TK'ing idiots, but we manage. :)

Best time to catch OCNZ peeps online playing is probably from about 8pm onwards. :)

Thanks, thats the one I've been using, pity some OCNZ member dosn't have there own server on that could run the mods and kick the TKer's :( But I spose you'd need a lot of bandwidth to run a game

I'm luvin the new map although I suck at it. I'm more a foot soldier planes arnt really my thing but its fun :)

This map is bloody good fun.
If you cant get on the Xtra Coral Sea server, Gameplanet has been converted to one.

Some of the mid-air collisions are really spectacular. :D
If nothing else, it will create some very, very good pilots.
