toms hardware has done it again, they pushed their 3 Ghz P4 all the way up to 4.1 Ghz, an interesting read how they did it...

Hehehehehe (http://www.overclockers.com/tips00225/)
That aside, they seem to be motoring along nicely....
The P4's I mean, not the drivel factory @ THG...

"In our first test with the Asus P4G8X, which is fitted with a two-phase regulator, the components overheated so much that they shifted on the board. An efficient ventilation system prevents the solder from melting. Remember, we are dealing here with an overclocked CPU drawing 78.3 amps through four voltage regulators."
****ING HELL
78 amps?!!?
melting the ****ing solder?
WOAH :D
nice overclock, even if it is a practical joke.

P.S. Expert overclockers use liquid nitrogen, not liquid hydrogen. If you have an accident with liquid nitrogen, you'll just lose chunks of your body. Have an accident with liquid hydrogen, you lose chunks of your neighborhood.
haha that is funny
*cough* bull**** *cough*:D
after his last overclcoking efforts I have no respect for THG.
Grrr!!

respect for an o/c of components spec'd to go 200mhz fsb, and they achive 170-something.
were they really limited by the processor? correct me if i'm wrong but aren't the new p4 cores supposed to be able to be cranked right up?
at least they didn't just boost the multiplier.....

wouldent 78amps make the psu catch fire and trip their circuit breakers before the mobo noticed?
i used to read toms religiously, if you dont read any other tech site, it all makes sense just fine :D
