View Full Version : watercooled celeron
do you guys reckon a waterbloack similar this OCWC one with just a copper plate with a plastic case (ie no "S" or "G" shaped waterpath) would be enough to cool a celeron 433 (not OC'd)???
As soon as i get a second 433 celeron i will have dual (BP6) and want it silent.
I am hoping that because celerons have little heat output that i will be able to just use a one small radiator. what do you reckon??
Didn't MirdOC have dual watercooled 366 celerys?

i still haven't got my dual celly rig wet yet... i've got half the parts ready but just haven't got around to getting the rest yet. i've just got it looked in a cupboard now doing server duties and i can't hear it at all :D :D
but yes it'd possible a "tide pool" block would cool a celly just fine.. although the C/W would be a fair bit higher than a milled block. if you're planning on stretching those cellies' legs then it'd probably be better to got for a simple cross-drilled block as it'd perform quite a bit better. if they're just gonna stay near stock speeds then the tidepool should do the job fine.

It would cool it one hell of a lot better than anything air would... No worries there.
or do you reckon could use 2 fop32 heatsinks with no fans if there was good circulation?
maybe i'll try it and see what the temps are like.
although i think i would rather go for water because its fun making blocks:D
