were gonna be having a LAN on the 13/14 next month in Rangiora for all those cantanbrians that know where Todd Blackadder was born.
Looking at getting about 20 people and hiring a small hall. playing whatever games, UT, jedi knight 2, HL & CS, SOF2 and any others. were just starting out small, its only the second one but should be pretty sweet. prob 5-10$

actually he lived in Rangiora on East Belt just a couple of houses down from a friend. then he moved just off lineside road before shifting over to Europe. i used to look after his managers kids (good pay until he lost the captaincy :( and they moved)
anyway back on topic............

well hopefully we have more luck with halls than KJ! I know some people and with a new community hall been built by the baptist church hopefully we can get in there. Its brand new so rules would be pretty strict but if people were well behaved (there wouldn't be an alcohol) it would still be an awesome time and cheap too.
there are some alternatives but ill post as soon as i get in contact with the people in charge of hiring.

It isn't the fact that we can't find a hall. It's the fact that we can't find a suitable hall!... It's really hard to find a good hall like we did with Uni and like KJ did with the Rolleston Community Centre [We got it again .... but I won't attend... bugger]
Anyways, we fully decided that we won't approach schools, churchs or general halls because of the power problem. Blowing up fuses is no fun. Then there is the over night thing ... some people don't like that.
If L3 stayed small [which we don't want :D] we could do it around places like schools and stuff, but with 30-40 people to provide power and space for ... it gets harder without spendind mega dollars on a venue.

For a small fee of say $50 i could give you the privalage of riding in my 1337 car.
na, well ill be going and for reasnoble petrol money (ie fair) i could probably do it

Anyway... im in if someone can provide me with a ride :) (preferably assuring (as much as one can) the protection of my fs710b case and my sony g220 monitor!)

That's what the original box is good for, protecting your stuff while moving them.
You could always take the Rangiora Express ;)

Hey common thats not fair......wellll yeah i spose....lookes like the Fiat pizza machine Uno will be getting a run out to rangiora
Seriously thou if anybody does need a ride (From CHCH - Papanui/ bryndwr side) i will be taking a car and will have room for somebody else + gear if needed

12th to the 14th of July is when the next L3 is so if ya cant make it to Rangiora come to L3 in Rolleston.

go to l3 from 6.30 friday till 10am saturday then come out to rangiora till 11pm then head back to rolleston and complete the 48 hour marathon!!:D

well we've got a temporary website (http://www.ncgn.tk) up and it will be continually evolving, if you've got any ideas for the site itself, let us know, we want to make it look good yet be reasonable to load for all those bandwidth deprived users
as far as our lan goes, there'll be a map up soon so let us know it you're keen to come
