The last lan (8th June) was a big success. With over 50 members turning up and gamers still going hard well past 3 in the morning. There were lots of comps and great participation. A big thanks go out to Dean, and Dick Smith Electronics for providing some very L33t prizes :)

We also just bought our very own 3phase splitter box!! It has breakers and teh whole shebang! It is teh r0x0rs. No more hassels hireing the 3phase boxes from now on, which means more time to organize other stuff (like prizes and comps :D :D ) Other stuff purchased recently included 2x 8port switches from DSE, 8x 12metre extension cords, and 4 multi boxes.

next lan is 13 - 14 June (last weekend of the massey holidays), hope to see you there!

Good to hear man :).

Hey - I've been wondering about a 3-phase splitter box myself ( otherwise known as builders blocks ). Especially seeing as we're just getting big enough that we'll need to start hiring them ourselves.

Mind sharing a ballpark figure on cost? And whether they're 6 or 9 ( or other ) output versions? I presume 10 Amp per output too?
( or PM me if ya want ;) ).

Box has 9 single phase outputs, with a breaker for each output.

lead on the box is about 7metres long, and cost us about $980 ($450 was massey funded)

and it has a nice carrying handle :)

Saves us having to pay $50 per lan on 3phase now
