Zalman vga heatpipe hs
came across this review (http://www.gamersdepot.com/hardware/cooling/zalman/vga_cooler/001.htm) today and looks quite interesting.
Excellent solution for those with watercooling and aren't going to use a pixelice or similar.
it's pretty strange not to measure the temperature difference between this cooler and stock, I mean, afterall, the whole point of a cooler review is too see how good it cools, :)
here is another solution for noiseless VGA cooling, :D
and cheaper, it's on a GF2GTS.
Yeah, I was wondering about the performance aspect of the "cooler". Interesting review.
For the Leadtek GF4 Ti cards, slap an Icute 80mm fan on top and it would be nearly noiseless.
For the GF2 MX cards, a reasonable socket7 heatsink would do nicely.
BTW, N, that's a very nice MB u got there. I used to have it.
oh, that's not my mobo, it's my friends, he use to have a blue orb on there before, but now has this, and still has that mobo, pretty ok performance,

anyone know when these are going to be avaliable in nz? and for how much :D?
I have the older zalman zm17cu in place on a Gf4 mx440 - for the ti cards etc they suggest a big ol' slow case fan over top. I'm considering doing this anyway to be on the safe side. One thing, can anyone tell me the recommended upper temperature for a gpu (eg my one!)?? There's heaps of discussion on cpu temps, but very little on graphics....

70-80C I would guess.
I wouldn't want it over 60C & overclocked.

yeah pretty much the same as CPUs... the cooler the better, but they can operate fine up to around 90C.
