Duke scheduled for release "Late December 2002".
Does anyone know if it has "gone gold" yet?
3D Realms would have something on it if it had surely.
An yes....I'll believe it when I see it

How long have they been working on this now, 4 years?
Didnt they originally start off with the Quake2 engine? :)

hmmm, Duke Nukum Forever initials: DNF coincidence? and isn't this coming from the same people who didn't bring us Prey?
although this (http://www.apogee1.com/fanstuff/dnfstory/page1.html) article makes interesting readingon DNF and the conspiracy behind it

The chance that the game is actually any good when it is released is pretty slim. Unless they have fully started over. Otherwise it will probably end up being another daikatana.
yeh, wateva happind to Prey, that was ment to be the Unreal killer...
and yeh, i believe quake2 engine was what they were gona use for DNF... hehe, did not finish, nice one :)

Hmmm, I remember Prey since Pre - Quake 1 even then it wasmeant ot be the killer FPS... then it slipped further and further, them it died a quiet death or maybe it is now DNF?
thats right, wen quake 1 was about to be released there was mention of Prey and some other game... ive still got a magazine at home, ill have to look 2nite! :)

i cant remember exactly but i thought prey became unreal? magazines were ranting on about how it was going to be a quake killer.
thats going back a bit aint it... 1996 i think...
as for DNF, the reason its taking so long is cos they changed engines which was foolish imho. they could have released it with the Q2 engine around the same time as half life and had DNF2 with the Quake 3 engine out by now . aren't they using the UT engine now?
maybe they're waiting for the Doom 3 engine :p

Prey - A Talon Brave
That waws the full name of the game from memory.
AFAIK it was cancelled, and FYI it featured portal technology before any other game :)
(By a hair)
DNF is a joke.
It's bitboysesque vapourware.
I'll believe it when i see it, so to speak.
Ish
Kinda.
Time for lunch :D

Portals, like, there is a little door in the room, and you can see the next room through it.
But you can walk around the "door"
Get what i'm saying?
I hope i'm not being too vague.

Talking of vaporware, I'm still goddamn waiting for TF2...

TF2 is still being made!?
Thats incredible...I would have thought the whole gaming community has moved well along since that was first announced - is there still a demand for it? What I mean is, it kinda looked like a CS clone with better graphics - havnt we all progressed beyond that?

on the topic of the Duke, has anyone else played Duke Nukem:Manhatten project? I have a demo of it here and it is kinda fun, for a 2-D platformer! What were they thinking, a platform game in this age?

Ahh TF2, won best multiplayer game of E3... 1999  or something like that. It still is in development under a total blackout, either that or they have chucked it in the bin and are waiting to see how long it takes for people to forget about it.

Varkk, I have that demo at work for when I get bored - it kicks bootay!
Its not something I'd go out and spend money on but dang good fun none-the-less, esp. with Dukes typical womanising gunloving style. :)

yeah, that's what I thought of it, fun nice distraction, but wouldn't be worth spending hard earned cash on it.
