Ppl seem to be wondering why the high oc's on athlons come up as duries?
well the reason is at those very high oc's the cpu actually DROPS part of the cache(yes it stops working) it normally loses 128k or 256k of l2 cache
thats why it says duron on those MO scores

so like the celeron being a dud pentium a duron is/was a dud athlon?

that's basically the idea, although AMD aren't quite so blunt about it (a duron is physically different from an athlon, where as a celly is actually a P3 with some of it's cache disabled).
