What would be nice here is if that divix guide was reposted and kept at the top. Just an Idea.

Would that be possible?

*waves GordianKnot flag*

for the best DivX rips you've ever seen with almost zero effort go here (http://gknot.doom9.org/), where you'll find everything you need including tutorials etc.

honestly, once you go GK, you'll never go back. the new version now supports DiVX 5.0x properly so the encoding process is now completely automated.

yeah that's probably the only thing letting it down... but it's no biggy really and as i just leave it overnight, it doesn't matter so much to me.

you can however open up some status windows in virtual dub which tells you the time left of the current pass... but yeah.

like mird said open the status window in virtualdub......... also lame has a time left thing as well........ anyway when I used to use xmpeg a long time ago @ ver 4.0 or something the time was never accurate..... took about halfway through the rip until it started getting anywhere near a ballpark figure..... mind you the same is true for virtualdub I suppose ...... you get a feel for how long each movie is going to take after doing a few......

I'd recommend Vidomi.. very nice little package, and an all in one.

But that's just me...
