Not sure what forum to post this in but what they hey
I have a enermax 350watt PSU
185w conbind
32a on 3.3v and 5v
I have a 1800+ @ stock
a GF4 Ti4200
Cuda 4
CDRW
Cdrom
Neon
1 x 80mm Fan
Thats it, now i have had my mobo just start giving my troubles and the peeps in the MSI support forums are saying my PSU is crap for the job
I'm sure it's fine for the job and has been running swete for a few weeks just this stupid POS msi kt3 ultra2 raid:mad:
Well, mine has been starting to act a bit wierd lately too. But it's running this stuff with a 300w PSU. The combined 3.3v and 5v rails are rated at 150W...
thunderbird 1.33
gf2 pro
3 * 7.2k HD
1 * dvd
1 * cd writer
2 * 80mm fans
1 * 60mm 7 k delta
2 other 60mm fans
It was fine for the first year, but the last month or so it's just been getting worse and worse with the occasional power interuption. The monitor will sometimes blink off and then back on quickly and there seems to be more lockups occuring. I think the psu has been pushed too hard for too long and is starting to give out :(
So maybe your psu is not quite enough either...

maybe it's time you pulled your PSU's apart and gave them a dust.

Well I've got a POS Heyena or however ya spell it PSU, and that powers my 1800+ @ 2000+ speeds, runs my Ti4200 @ Ti4600 speeds, feeds my DVD ROM, CD Burner, 80Gb drive, and 2 fans.
And what do ya know, it works just fine :D

had mine apart a few weeks ago. prety clean in there.
And I forgot to mention how I can hear quite a change in the fan speed every time I do anything like typing in here for instance. Hehehe poor thing:D

Yeah guess it kinda proved that the DRV2 might have been slightly better then the DRV5 in oc'ing.
