I've only tinkered with mine, as I can't get it to go higher than 140 without unlocking my multiplier, and being stable of course. When my chip just doesn't do it for me anymore, then I'll overclock the living crap out of it.

What spec CPU are you using? Also, don't use that Redstorm Overclocking Utility, all it seems to do is increase the FSB 7 - 10MHz.
Redstorm sucks the big one, oh yes it does.....

I'm using an early stepping of the 2000+(I can't remember which one exactly and don't feel like taking off the h/s to look right now) but I'm honestly not using the RedStorm....Crucial w/ Micron chips - should oc well, just can't get her going...I'm not bothered with it right now as I don't need this much speed anyway.....but.....i do get the bug every once in a while.....

What revision NorthBridge do you have?
It could be a CD

Take the northbridge heatsink off, and look @ it
Write down what is written on it.
Preferably take a photo and post it.

You have to take of the Northbridge Heatsink and check for the letters CD or CE.
As illustrated here:

I will do that a little later but I would really appreciate if someone would elaborate on the difference....the CD stepping REALLY sucks or something?

Yes, the CD stepping Northbridge SUCKS for overclocking.
The CE northbridge is a LOT better :)

yah DRV4 the KT266a board not DRV5 the KT333 board..
The DRV5 is a poor overclocker because it is KT333 CD .. but the DRV4 should be fine as its KT266a
If you have a soundblaster live or cheap (realtek) network card.. that's probably where the problem lies, ie: a PCI card that can't stand the increased bus speed...
So what PCI cards ya got?
Try taking them all out.. see how high you can go.. then put them in one at time and find the crap ones that can't take the speed..

Just two:
1. Hercules Game Theater XP
2. DSE (Conexant) PCI ADSL modem(probably the offender)
anything else, see my sig...
P.S. I'm never really sure what to set my CoreV at and if it is doing anything 'cause I've only been trying to overclock chips for just over a year.
If it runs stable then don't change the Vcore ;).... if it doesn't run stable and you've got good enuff cooling.... up it till it becomes stable again :)
