Welp - I've just about finished the business course and i've FINALLY decided on a name.

Neo Computers.

The title says Styles, well - because i'll be his contact for Auckland :D You'll be able to get all the parts from me at the same price and after time modding services will be added.
Also thinking of offering basic pc lit lessons too for your gramps or aunt.
I'll be opening (if all things go as planned) in about 5-8weeks.
There's still lots of things to get ready - including a place to stay, as its a home business. Bit more convienant than Piha ;)

So yeah, there's my big news - i'm pretty excited about it. :D:cool:

Plz post any comments or suggestions - i'll take all i can at the moment and if you have any ideas for a catch line for 'neo computers' or even a logo i'd love to see/hear em! Thx guys :D

Expect 100+ emails a day, 30+ phone calls a day, and everone else north of the bombays flooding your messaging programs. :D

Heh, it'll be interesting to do a price comparison, or will you be syncronising ( and using the same suppliers )?

As for a slogan "Neo Computers where we don't waste our time on NeoPets":p

Suggestions, could you please have a well designed site. It's just that some websites don't work to well in Opera, because they were designed in MS Word. ;)

Looks like I'm gonna be a regular customer instead.

and if you need a cheap student pleb / system analyst / network guy / pc builder / sales guy.. etc. *waves and points at self*

No tense delay as I wait for hardware to arrive.. wondering whether the courier has smashed or stolen it.. woot

Best of luck, should be wicked having a local Styles..

GriffiN are you the only one in Auckland working with Styles? Cause I know another person in West Auckland who is also reselling etc for Styles, he is like the Auckland distributor or something on the lines of that.

Good luck with the biz Griffin. I'm doing something similar but unlike Neo and styles I'll be concentrating on cases and case modding only. I've got a mate who owns a
company in Penrose and he's offered my an office and the use of his receptionist which I'm taking up. I'm still getting all the bits together before I move in, furniture, dsl, tools etc.

I mentioned in the old forums I was building a custom bench and drill press to make working with cases easier which I've just finished but as I already work full time as a network admin this will be one of those on the side things. I was going to post here
when I was all setup cause I will be looking for someone experienced in case modding to give me a hand. (prefer close to Penrose area)

Maybe we can do some business together in the future, share ideas, contacts etc. You don't have to see me as a competitor cause you already have hundreds of them in Auck bigger then me :) I know I'm not going to make big money out of this, I see it more as a niche service or making a bit of money out of my hobby I suppose. But yeah if I can help out in any way let me know.

There will be a couple in Auckland probably only 2 or so, it's such are large area..
I figured I'll hook up with a few folk who are keen to do their bit and help me to service all regions better....
oh, don't worry...StylesPC will be coming to a town near you ;)

If people think they have something to offer in other areas of NZ, please email me for details.....

As long as it's in West Auckland, there are no good computer shops around here, the only good ones in Auckland are in Manukau, and it's quite a drive from here.

If you can get it up and going soon, I'll get a 1000$ computer of you then, well, for my friend. :) and he pays.

So are u gonna be more on the internet sales side of things or actualy gonna have a shop / workshop thingy in the house?

If you are gonna be going with the shop in the house deal then here's a sugestion that always garanties a sale ;) . You could get some nice stretchy low cut tops to wear when you are talking to your customers. Most of whom I assume will be geeks like me who are complete suckers for that sort of thing :p

I tell ya, the amount of times I've walked into shops to buy the smallest thing and left with armfulls of stuff sold to me by some interesting girl behind the counter Is shocking :rolleyes:

I have no life but I'm not the only one. We are a huge often untapped market :D

Sorta like that field of dreams movie... wear the stretchy tops and they will come :cool:

Yeah, I thought a sign out front would be a good idea - makes it a little easier to see where it is too. Anyway have a sign writing contact - i need to get a quote for that?

And i need to start off small - what i dont have on the grounds (which will be alot) will be ordered :)

It's certainly going to be in West Akl - just for that reason, everywhere else has heaps :)
