I know it goes against every Overclocking Bone in your body: but PC Company's parts offshoot PC Essentials has TBred B 2400+ cpus available. Not listed on the webpage: but I emailed them (as they do list PCs with them at PC Co) and received this reply:

"We have the 2400+ CPU's in stock, but have not been completely
cleared them with R&D. While results are very promising, many older
motherboards do not seem to be up to the task of handling the higher
multiplier. Some motherboards will require a BIOS update, and others
are flat out incompatible. We are expecting a list of our compatible
motherboards and clearance in a few days time."

Sooooo. Sounds like Overclocking Goodness could be had by a man with a good sized wallet

Just received this from the PC Co.

I]We have the 2400+ CPU's in stock, but have not been completely

motherboards do not seem to be up to the task of handling the higher
multiplier. Some motherboards will require a BIOS update, and others
are flat out incompatible. We are expecting a list of our compatible
motherboards and clearance in a few days time. We are expecting
a price of around $525 including GST.[

I wouls never buy a new Intel (too expensive initially) but I'm getting on of these babies!
