Just got my PC up and running again but when i bootup,
it won't load into windows :/ it keeps crashing at the 'windows 2000 logo/loading screen'
Could i be bacause i don't have my network + sound card plugged in?

Specs

Athlon 1700
V7+
GF4 Ti 4200
512 PC2700 DDR
SB live 5.1- not plugged in
D-link n/work card - not plugged in

could this be a software fault or more of a hardware?

cheers in advance

Er um did you muck around with anything in the BIOS OC wise coz (well for me) the only time I've had it stop on the splash screen was when I'd OC too far....... worst comes to worst just put it back together the way it was when it was running!

No leaks?? :p

when the black screen with the white bar is shooting across, press F8.

Then select this wonderful thing called "safe mode"

IF that works, then right click on "my computer" and click "manage"

Find "event viewer" and go through the logs to see what's going on.

good luck
