Is there anyway of viewing the usage of the forums like you could in the old forums.

You mean like statistics and stuff?
Those stats were pretty cool.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant GooGlo, it was really being able to look and see what had been the most popular thread for the month.

I'd have to disagree on that one.
What aspects of the old forums did you prefer (other than the great info to search through) ?
*wonder where the question mark emoticon thing is*

I find with the new search function "view new posts" I spend less time reading all the posts.
I would read 90-100% of all posts before, and now only about 30-50%. I just don't seem to bother with any titles that don't catch my interest. Leaves me more spare time to do other things. Anyone else find this?

1) The old forums loaded one hell of alot faster than these, im guessing due to the the pictures, ie: the control panel, faq buttons etc all images like that take extra time to load/bandwidth, speed isnt very good on a 56K modem connected to Xtra :P
2) The colour scheme was better and easier on the eyes, well for me ayway :p
3) At the risk of being banned i'll shut up now :D

It is a little bit slower, but I don't mind cause at least it's on a good server, and I like the colour scheme, and for people like you, there will be new schemes out soon.

I agree with Joshti the old forums were good and had a certain charm too, these are slow and hard to read but I shall pipe down cos I know yous have worked hard on them and they will be improved and I wouldnt wanto anger the authorities or nothing :(

I think it's like anything guys, it's hard to lose hold of a good thing, especially when you've been used to something for a long time. What you didn't see was behind the scenes UT was an absolute pig, and also the cpu usage on the server was very high, causing me as the server admin, a lot of strife.
This has way more features, and is a bit imposing I know, but from an administration and maintenance point of view this is much easier. All attachments are contained within the database, so it's a one file backup. UT stored the attachments as the original file, which meant a whole raft of problems.
You'll get used to it, I know it's not easy, but there are a lot of cool features in VB :) Any questions ask me. I'll soon give people an alternative colour scheme, but for the moment, just hang tight and get used to using this board.
