I just got one to run a celeron tualatin 1.1 in for a while untill i get a few more bits for a killer sys that im nearly finished

Anyway, this mobo is pretty gay, no northbridge cooling (it gets very hot) and it has no holes to mount anything decent.
i think it might melt if i pump it up to 133fsb
It also has no voltage adjustment in the bios but wome wire will fix that;)
sandra scores in a few hours/days

It is a CA64-TC
via 694t/686b
5pci, 1agp, 1isa(shared)

dont tempt me man :)

1. i only just started messin with it yesterday
2. Its in a really gay position (like your mobo but directly below cpu - about 15mm south, 20mm west of first ram slot, 5-10 mm east of some caps and regulators
3, im 2 lazy
4. no money

At least it was only $150 and it goes ok, think i got somewhere round 2500 on 3dmark2001 with no tweaks and no oc :)

I had a DFI, it had pretty good overclocking feature, good benchmark scores, no northbridge cooling other than passive heatsink, stable and reliable

until

I went from Athlon 1.4 GHz to XP1600+, and the damn thing would crash all the time, I'm talking every 2-5 minutes, it just didn't like the XP CPU.

Where there no BIOS updates available that fixed the problem?

Sounds like a mobo incompatibility. Only other thing it could have been would be PSU related. What was powering it Deviant?

You dont really hear much about these Boards.

it sounds like a good mobo, you just need to do a bit of work on it and you'll be sweet,

Fraz - chuck a post in buy&sell to see if someone will donate you a heatsink :)
Sure someone must have a cheapar5e one lying round somewhere.
