I just bought a Philips 109P40 (or 109P4, depending where on the box you look). This is a very very very nice monitor. It's reasonably cheap when you consider what you get, 100Hz is mint. 85Hz at 1600x1200 is very very nice for gaming.
The ICE controls really help you get the picture perfect.
What else would you really like to know about it? I'm very impressed personally and other than it being a heavy SOB I wouldn't trade it :D
I would recommend this monitor - very very nice :P
Was a thread with someone having problems with it, but i think it is being cleared up - something to do with it being fuzzy - but the one i bought from my uncle had no problems.
Wish WINZ would buy me one :)

Sony monitors are the best and the 109P40 uses Sony tubes :) I used one for a week and was definitely impressed %D

Sony monitors are NOT the best.
Let me repeat.
NOT THE BEST.
They are HUGELY overpriced for what they are.
Then again, i guess your definition of "best" differs greatly from mine ;)
I don't like to play bloated prices for overpriced equipment.
And that's just their Screens/TV's
Don't even get me started on their bloody Audio range, both home and car.
Ugh.

Does that monitor have damper wires?

are you sure 109P uses sony tube? i don't think so.. doesn say anything about FD trinitron.. it uses Mitsubishi's NF Diamondtron which is basically same technology (mitsubishi had bought the Trinitron tech from sony) but it is NOT A FD trinitron
109p20 that dragon sells is an upgrade version of 109p (tighter dor pitch 0.24 but no more USB upstream port for adjusting screen through mouse) and really, for its price.. its not a bad monitor at all. NF diamondtron is tried and trusted

It's an apperture grille tube so yes it has damper wires.
The 109P20 is a mitsi tube, so I assume the 109P40 is as well.
Cool, thanks for your comments everyone :)
This monitor certainly looks like the one to get then :D
