i havnt played much online gaming in a while but recently i been hooked on bf1942, having adsl at work and all... :D
but ive noticed that it downloads alot, like, after a gameing session ive d/l about 50-100mb? is that right?

there is a lot of data in that there game


also the multi patch is out
get it, may cut down the traffic a bit

pain how the xtra servers r always full... any other nz servers? paradise? i cant be bothered looking thro the list

just do a search by ping...that should bring up the nz servers, then australian servers with the lowest ping time ;)

If there are not many NZ servers high up in the list, then they will be too loaded and the ping will be high on them, and you don't really want to be on a server with a crappy ping time.

I wouldn't worry about how much it downloads unless you are on tc cable, (lol at joo). The Gameplanet server has upgraded to 32 player so there are about 98 slots on nz servers now

we r on pay per mb, so it kinda worries me... :)
but thats not the prob, im just surprised... how can it transmit that much? o well

My mate said he monitered some 32player gaming and said on average it uses 9k/s :-/

All-Seeing Eye (http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/) will help you choose a server, follow your nose, sort through the full page of Aus and NZ servers ;)

oh yeah, the patch for bf included ase support, so away with the ingame browser for me
