OK, Hans planted the seed of changing the tiny little Leadtek fan on my Ti4200 with an 80mm fan...

One PSU fan bolted on, with a slight inclination towards the outside of the case...and we have one VERY cold heatsink on there.

Of course, the fan is at 12V.

Plan was : cooler = more room to overclock! Previously I had hit its limit with 310 core and 610 mem.

After cooling beast was added, I am able to maintain an erection at 335 core and 645 mem. I havent stopped with the core yet, still testing...could even get more out of it yet...the heatsink is still to get more than lukewarm!

Not bad for $400

I've just done the same thing today......... Except on my Leadtek GF3 Ti200 TDH.

The little runt of a fan was too damn noisy.

Haven't tried OC'ing tho. Yet. ;)

haha I.R. I have tears from the laughing :)

Well, its not that noisy actually, the CPU fan is still the worst, and so is the PSU I think...the 120mm fans arent that loud at all!

As for pics, I am not able to get any yet :( I needs me a dig-it-all camera soon! DAMN IT ALL!

Soon...soon. Oh and its at 345/645 right now.

Damn you done any MO benchies and then compared your card to other on the same procesor...... I mean I get 100% and a 4600 is like 93% (and my card is isn't OCed to hell) so you must have the 4600's down in the 80-90%

have you volt modded or just increased the AGP voltage??

Will do guys....

Umm...3DMark wont run if I have the core up that high :/ Yet it plays games glitch free!

Its fine at 330 and 635 though :)

Havent compared it yet, I ran it with AA etc all on full to see how bad it was, and it wasnt too bad at all.

As for voltage mods etc...this is on a crappy SDRAM board, no AGP woltage increases available, and I havent modded it other than adding the meatier fan.
