hey ho.
as you may have seen, im making a bong cooler for no reason at all (hey dont ask, i havent figured it out myself either :( ).
im running a celeron system which is socket 370 (for anyone who dont know by now). After looking around for bit i have found that socket 370 blocks are very rare in new zealand (and expensive where they can be found).
Does anyone know where i would be able to buy a socket 370 block?
Who makes them?
I would prefer it to be in Nz as it elimin8s the need to spend $15+ on postage. :D

cheers for any help

is it a FCPGA package? If so jb has the DD ones for ~$100. Which seems about average for a waterblock.

You could make your own
Ghetto something up with a couple of brass pipe fittings and a bit of steel as a clamp.
I have seen it done before ;)

I have it all in my old A+ book, but it's proping up my monitor (along with my net+ and info sytems books.... *always new they would come in handy for something*). But I pretty sure all old celerys were, and styles wouldn't bother stocking something if it wasn't going to sell.
As SP says though, you could always make your own. Know anyone with a drill press? Just get three bits of copper cut out one for the channel, drill holes in another for the fittings, and sandwitch them together and voila.... l337 ppBlock ;):D

personally i'd say your best bet would be to buy a LiquidCC block and make your own clamp. you could buy it with or without the attachment mechanism, depending whether you're thinking of shifting to socket A anytime in the near future.

i say you should buy my old case of me :)
it was purpose built to take that mobo that you have got and it includes a waterblock/pump/radiator/hoses/psu's
all you need is a peltier and coldplate and you have some -12deg action (c566@1122ish@2v@-12deg with 60watt pelt)
and there is plenty of rom for further modding :D
