Transmetta CPU faster than P4?

I doubt it but this is an interesting read none the less. Especally seeing as it's raised my interest, and I will look forward to benchmarks.

where does it say anything about P4's?

when the article states "double or even triple compared with what the previous TM5x00 Transmeta CPU showed." I thought that would bring them to about the performance of P4's. I don't really know how fast current Transmeta chips are now other than they are real slow. But double/tripple performance must bring them close.

No nothing actually written about P4's, didn't mean to mislead you, it's just what I was thinking at the tme.

If they have anywhere near the performance which was estimated they'll rock in the notebook/pda market.
