Test UT2003 1024x768
Ti4600=51.3 fps
9700=52.4fps

same res 4xAA
Ti4600=32.6fps
9700=42.4fps

1600x1200
Ti4600=27.6fps
9700=38.6

Test RTCW 1024x768
Ti4600=146.2fps
9700=144.4fps

same res 4xAA
Ti4600=80.2fps
9700=140.2fps

1600x1200
Ti4600=110.5
9700=123.2fps

3Dmark 2k1 SE
default test
Ti4600=12145 marks
9700=14138 marks

1024x768 4xAA
Ti4600=10597 marks
9700=6391 marks

1600x1200
Ti4600=8016 marks
9700= 10412

Looks like R9700 runs the same speed as Ti4600 @ 1024 X 768, only 4XFSAA and 1600 X 1200 where R9700 have significant lead of GF4Ti4600

Is it me, or do those figures bounce about more than a fat hooker with herpes?

I dont know if I trust those at all...the 3D mark with AA on drops 4000+ points, yet in those games with AA on, it outperforms the 4600?!?

EH WHAT OLD CHAP?

Haha, those are all over the place .. I wouldn't take them as an indication of what I should buy .. not that they are there for that tho .. :rolleyes:

lol @ 9700 framerate being higher @ higher res, the means cpu= bottle neck @ low res, LOL

PC hardwrae have reviewed an alienware box against a couple of others turns out the alienware box has a R9700 in it ;) so they but a ti4600 in for comparison

u can basically ignore the 3Dmark scores i reckon, since its a synthetic benchmark, not real world

unless ur one of those ppl that buy computers and upgrade them to the best stuff every 3 months to play 3dmark races with yourself/friends

the actual game ones look good tho, and id say the UT2k3 is quite good as an indicator of future game performance......

ok ppl...why are we trying to get benchmarks off gamespot? Go to a respectable place like [H]ardOCP or anandtech...they have comparisons even if it is the percentage form. Also i must say...those figures are pretty crap. i KNOW the r9700 is faster than that.

Only with AF + AA + 1600 X 1200, at 1024 x 768 it is the same as GF4ti4600, like GF3 is as fast as GF2ultra @ 800 X 600

those benchmarks loook pretty much fake

probabley done by nvidia to try scare people away from ati in the mean time

just wait till the 9700 hits shelfs
