Found this the other night, makes for interesting reading if you're into gaming on laptops.

I can swap between at least a dozen video cards on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 8600) and can choose anything between a NVIDIA GF4 2 GO and an Ati Mobility Radeon 9700PRO.
All it takes is knowing the correct parts number to order from Dell and I can swap out the graphics daughter card under the base of my laptop.
Nice to see an actual standard emerge here that can be used widely by all notebook manufacturers, but will it work for all graphics card manufacturers, allowing Ati to also offer cards in that format.

From what that Tweaktown summary was saying quite a lot of manufacturers are going to be backing it, so hopefully ATI will come to the park.
