it seems Microsoft had Win2k SP3 available for download from windows update for a short period of time, however it was removed fairly quickly. it can't be 100% confirmed that it is the final build since it wasn't available there for very long.. im running it on my second pc at the moment, and everything appears to be fine.. it also doesnt have a build number for the service pack in windows properties where all the beta versions have.

 w00t!!

i want it!!

binky get, i get... ;) :D

it could be the previous final build, but they discovered a bug in MS Installer 2.0 and had to do a lot more work on it which pushed the release back further. you could have got the final build with that bug, maybe not.

not too sure, I think the bug was discovered in SP3 a while ago, and they pulled MSI 2.0 from SP3, it wasn't in the latter betas of SP3, however this version of SP3 has MSI 2.0 in it, the file version is 2.0.2600.1.. there may be something wrong with it, and therefore was removed from windows update, but all of this is unknown to me for fact

Can Microsoft ever get a final release out without stuffing it up?

Christ, they are the world biggest software company and they can't prevent a stupid little error in a major Service Pack release for W2K

Idiots!
