As the subject says, if you could display 3 different temperatures on a lcd on your case what would they be? ie Cpu,Mobo,Gpu. Case,Cpu,Radiator, WaterTemp,Cpu,Gpu PSU,CPU,GPU

y u ask, coz my dads getting along with his program that takes a temperatures and adjusts fan speeds acordingly, I will be using it on a watercooling rig(that explains psu-dam 12v fans), so what do u air and extraem coolers consider the 3 most important temps are?

CPU
GPU
Water

...you were about right with that guess.

The only other temp I'd care about would be ambient temp.

what about PSU heatsink temp, then the fans could be slowed down ? waht u guys think of that?

PSU's are somewhat different.
They can take a helluva lot more heat than normal pc components like gfx, cpu etc.
How are you going to know what the optimal temp for the psu is?
What temp the psu fans should switch on etc?

PSU Heatsink!!?? I'm confused ..... if u want extra psu cooling you could always do a psu mod like whetu :D

I absolutley agree with KJ and SP..... only 3 temps though, man people should give us more to worry about, it get's boring after a while :(. I'll worry about my +5v rail being at 4.83v until somebody comes up with something new.

Yeah, true, they are not that loud and i guess just making the 7v would be fine.

I agree Cpu,Gpu,Water and #4 ambient.

i'd like to add one more, and thats hard drive temp. if you've got several barracuda IV's stacked next to each other it can and should be a worry. :p

i've got a 120mm fan in front of mine so no worries here ;).

And MOBO(^)

probably a bit late to post
my big three are
gpu, cpu, and radiator (not tham im watercooled yet, i seem to be stuck at a throw up between buying a pump or a pixel ice next..)

oi, couldnt you do a psu mod like whetu, then mount a 120 on the top blowing cold air through on the 7v? be a helluva a lot better than the 60's they shove on em at the mo

Whetus psu mod was awsome but i'm not happy with a psu been out in the open like that, especially since i'm always sticking my fingers around my pc

Well, if you're that unco that you would electrocute yourself, use a finer mesh for the mod. :p

My most important temps:
CPU
mobo (Northbridge)
GPU

*Doesn't have water cooling* *yet* ;)
