heres some stuff i found out about the a7v333 mobo last night, i found none of this info on any of the mobo's reviews... found it all last night wen i installed my new mobo...

6channel soud:
the 'line-in' and 'mic' turn into 'rear channels' and 'center/bass' respectivly, this happins when u load the sound software (included on the cd) and choose '5.1 sound' u can also choose '4 speaker sound' which leaves the 'mic-in' as 'mic-in' and uses 'line-in' as the 'rear-in'
if you want 5.1 sound AND a stero line in, you obviosly cant use the normal 'line-in' so the mobo has an onboard connector (next to the connector for the cd-audio) to line-in, a line-in socket is not supplied, so u will have to get/make your own (i might do this)

game port:
i noticed that i couldnt plug the game port to the mobo as the notch on it his a jumper, i trimed the notch of with some snips and was able to fit it ok

RAID:
this is probably simple RAID stuff that u already know about but i only found this out last night...
-u have to use that high density cable, so no round cable on the RAID
-gotta be a HDD (kinda figured that anyway)
-i think u can only have 2 hdd's running in RAID at a time

mobo itself:
might be to big for a mini-tower case (doh, needs new case me thinks) as the 5 1/2" devices (cdrw, dvd) dont fit, they hit the IDE connectors

ATX panel:
doesnt come with one and the layout is different from standard (as most seem to be) if it does come with one i didnt get one, i took mine off, i might make a new one to screw on

if i can find anything else, or if anyone has any Q's jsut leme know :)

havnt tested it fully... dont have spare cpus lying around... :)

i believe it is there to handle slight increases in temperature, not the sudden removal of heatsink... ala the video on tomshardware...
