Rules

1) Respect and Common Sense: The most important rule at a LAN Party is simple, common sense.

2) Honesty: Don't touch anything that does not belong to you. Ask before you borrow software or anything else that is not yours.

3) Money: LAN n Leech does have a cover charge. ($15) Please do not come if you're going to have trouble paying. As it is limited seating it is a first in first served. You can book a seat (ie Pay now, and that way you will be guaranteed a seat ! Recommeded!!)

4) Staff: The LAN n Leech Staff are your hosts, if you have a problem, go to them for help.

5) Self-Control: Please practice good anger management skills when you are fragged. We need you to keep the volume to a minimum. We understand how annoying it is to be constantly shot in the head, but be a good sport about it.

6) Responsibility: Carefully go over legal stuff. We do not have enough money to pay you if your monitor breaks or walks off, so we will not.

7) Preparation: We're all at a LAN Party for some fun computer gaming action. Please make sure your computer has all necessary drivers installed, and is ready to rock before you get to the Party. Again, make sure you have the games you want to play installed and patched. If you are having problems with your computer, please contact a staff member as soon as possible. We'll be happy to help you get your box ready2rock!

8) Cleanliness: Your Mum will not be here to clean up after you, so you have to do it yourself.

For those interested, state you interest and I will contact the organiser of this event to see how many extra's (Non Airforce) we can allow in.

BTW, it's at Hobsonville Airbase.

Last I heard the airforce doesn't have any planes.

So it would be quite nice for them to use flight sims.

We still have those Skyhawks, so if National gets into power they'll most likely be operational again .

I don't know, but aparently it's going to be big, my guess is 50 or so. The actual place could handle double that at least, but it's also up to tables and chairs, but we are the airforce after all so we have plenty of those. So switches might be the limit, oh but we have plenty of those as long as we can use some airforce ones. i will make some more inquiries.

How many ppl are confirmed?

I might consider it but it's a bit of a drive....

Yep, 40-50 at this stage, but the numbers keep increasing.

We were going to have the bar open, but it would have to close at 11 or 12, so it's going to be BYO. Remember though it's no beer fest, and anyone making idiots of themselves, or causing trouble will be escorted out by the MP's (Military Police)

If you would like to attend PM me your full name, and it will also help with a car make/model and reg no so I can leave your details at the main gate so security let you in.

For those who don't know where it is I will post a map, but basically go to the end of the north western motorway and turn right, drive for 5 minutes and you are there.

Well thanks to a quick email to KJ, managed to get hold of deviant to find out the lan was still on. Me and Tide ended up being the last ones there because we were putting together his new comp before arriving. There was a good turnout, just over 30 ppl I think I counted...

SOF2 was by far the best game of the lan. It was alot more enjoyable than at the AuckLAN, where most people had left or were leaving by that stage...

We fired up some AA but It wasn't very enjoyable because the server was poorly configured. There were issues like it wouldn't allow you to get the weapons you requested (even though there was only one person requesting it...) and the maps automatically switched way too soon. People who were new to the game were only just getting the hang of the map and then bang... new map to learn....

There was a game of War3 which Tide and the n00b Aaron took out :)

Someone got out Q3 and there was a good fragfest for the people that managed to squeeze into the 12 available slots on the server... All the rest missed out :(

I got a good amount of leeching done (just over 25gig of new stuff) even though it was the clumsy windows shared folder routine. Hopefully they'll take my suggestion and use DC next time...

I was expecting everyone to keep gaming right till the end but instead everyone went to sleep at 3am... lol
