Well, most of you can remember my "Stealth" mod idea.....
I'm still at a loss as to what to use for the "prosthetic" side panels....some suggest fibreglass, but i'm not so sure about that....
Flat panels and semi-sharp edges are what i'm looking for.

Stemming from my lack of desire to OC and the fact that i run my 'puter 24/7, i'm wanting to make a quiet rig. Then i came across the Vantec "Stealth" fans which are realy quiet, and i thought "hmmm, a stealth computer, now that would be fun".
so from there the following drawing was made:

I've since decided on the good ol' ENERMAX FS-710B as the case of choice, and it eliminates any CD tray problems/mods...altho i might just paint it black.....and i'm not sure where to put the power/reset buttons now either....still want militry toggle switches if i can
The question is: what the hell should i make the new sides out of?
I've had suggestions of Fibreglass, but i have no idea how to go about doing that.....nor where (if JB does set up his Mod workshop i'll hopefully make use of that).
Suggestions/comments would be appreciated, since this is my first mod.....

Total 10 drive bays, lockable swing-out side panel ( thumb screws provide tool-less access ) ,detachable HDD cage and capacity to install upto 4 x 80mm fans this is the perfect choice for overclockers and case modders!

d00d, u could always mold them outta polycarbonate...:)
all u need is a vacuum cleaner, sheets of polycarbonate, and molds. You could make the molds outta wood and bog (u know the body filler stuff). Ur mold has to have a hole in the bottom, and u put the sheet of poly carbonate on the top, heat it up with a paintstripper, turn the vacuum cleaner on and, the polycarbonate molds to the shape of the mold. Ive neva done this but i dont think it would be that hard. You can get amazingly detailed molds with these, u just needa do a few practises to see what amount and shape of polycarbonate sheet u need.

ohh, and ive done fiberglassing before. It works well, but is extremely messy. If you wanted a perfect looking case it would be the way to do it. The polycarbonate would seem a bit flimsey compared to a fiberglass one.
