View Full Version : Using all memory slots
Am I able to populate all memory slots in a Soltek SL75DRV5 without causing problems. I'll be using Samsung PC2700 256mb x 2 and 1 512mb modules. I have read that you have to use ECC ram if you fill up all slots, is this true?
Grrr!!

Some boards DON'T like having all slots populated. I have read that the SL75DRV5 isn't one of those however proceed with caution - you shouldn't have a problem with those chips.
It might be an idea to check with someone elses chips first before buying any for yourself.
2 much thinking

yeah its pretty tricky to determine that,
but if the motherboard doesn't work with all 3 slots ask kingjackal what to do ;)
i believe the same, if a motherboard has 3 slots then you should be able to use all 3 of them and if not return it
