Hi everyone
Anyone used the services of these guys www.xboxtreme.co.nz ? Also I'd like to see what's the safest way of getting around the NTSC-PAL conversion issue...
Thanks in advance

That is _very_ expensive for something that takes me roughly 15 minutes to do. It's not overly difficult. (Not once yo've got it all set up anyway).
Have a look on the tutorials section on www.xbox-scene.com.
The only really easy way of doing it is to have access to an already modded xbox (I've chipped mine properly) and a memory card. (I have both, and the pre-requisite copy of James Bond: Agent Under Fire ;).
Also remember, flash the onboard chip (TSOP) and you've no way of disabling it, so forget about Xbox-Live.
Get it right, and you can modify the xbox without opening it so it runs the exact same BIOS code that a flashed chip does. And it works flawlessly and is 100% reversable.
If you are going to get a mod done of this value, get the Xbox mod-chipped properly with a decent quality chip with an on/off switch (not like most of these crappy homebrew knock-offs that you can buy from trademe and the like - get an Xecuter 2.3 or something).
And I've no interest in modding peoples xboxes, I dislike being peoples pet tech-support. I only do my mates ones.

If any Dunedin haxor is keen to have their mod done locally I have the name and number of a guy who contacted me through my work.
Send me a pm and I'll give his details to you. I have no idea if he is any good or not, that's for you to decide. Caveat emptor etc - but you know that already.
