i'm afraid that's the way the world is going, for retailers to keep their prices at rock bottom they have to cut their overheads, this means, no retail shop. This leaves a prospective buyer to look a the product online, then find local shops that sell it. But some of these online retailers have an office or a basement setup. So before you order you can pre-arrange a viewing.

Not sure on the UV cable's etc.

Cheers.

Just order them from OCNZ, you can ALWAYS trust them to deliver + for the product to look the same as advertised.

harvey norman has all the ricing gear you need, so does DSE and Jaycar. Just remember that by supporting these companies you'll be supporting australian and not kiwi

Have a look here (http://www.pricespy.co.nz) it lists most of the computer places available. You wont find UV reactive items are a category but it should enable you to find a shop in Auckland which both sells UV reactive items and also has a retail store. UV reactive items are becoming more mainstream so more and more places are stocking them.

don't you guys know anything. :D :D

You go into a retail shop, eg, jaycar, you take a look at the stuff you are interested in, play around with it.

then, you go home,

you go online, and buy from an online shop which is cheaper.

If you want some touchey feelie PC lurve you can try the following (retail) stores.

These are in order of the amount of cool stuff they have, in almost all cases the prices are higher than an online-only store, someone hase to pay for all that stock they are holding, and the rent and the power, and the sales guys. You get the idea...

orange computers in Takapuna (no website at the moment, not even sure if they are still in business. This place was a PC riceboys dream, they MUSH be out of business by now, no-one can hold that amount of stock.)

compulink in Newmarket (www.compulink.co.nz)

DTC computers on Dominion rd (www.dtconline.co.nz)

THats about all the ones I can think of right now. To be honest you are better just buying off the net.

try gamma pcs on newton road. Nice shop. Not sure if they stock what you want (as I wasnt specifically looking for UV shtuff last time I was there), but they had some mean looking cases (Xaser etc, and seemed to be catering to the enthusiast with money).
