my V7+ has been giving me temps of 47 degrees on full load....but the interesting thing is that the airflow comming out of the case is about as cold as that going in.....now i want to keep it quiet, so should i replace the fan, or is there something else i'm not getting here....

Grrr!!

I now this may seem stupid, but your case fans, are they at the top of your case. If they are low, especially lower than the processor, the top of your case will become a broiler, and fans will suck out cold air. Remember Heat rises.

cold air comming out of the PSU fans?
plus its an iCute with a fan going into the PSU right above the HSF.....
crank it up to "Median" and the ***** drops to 39 degrees......might try rearranging some fans at the back there

My exhaust is pullin out warm air atm. No intake on my Hyena 300w and warm air commin out of the psu as well. My rear fan is basically exactly level to my V7+.

I got 42C @ Load here ('median' speed & vcore at 1.825v)

oh yeah, i've got a 80mm Stealth output fan right beside the HSF too........might have to get one of those Zalman thingys at some point...

What are you guys supplying your HSF with i.e is it just the air from the front of the case?

It's just that when I changed my V7 fan to a SUNON 80mm with side of the case off I was getting about 40°C loadish but now that I have a supply fan on top of the HSF I get 37°C full load about 34°C loadish but since I put an exhaust fan by the HSF I had to put on a tube so the cool air wouldn't get sucked away before it got to the HSF.

My side panel is off and my v7+ is on median. I don't like to have my side on cause I have no air intake & my fsb & vcore is at 155mhz/1.825v (too lazy to buy another fan :p).

hmm, might have to invest in some tubing then.....and where would be the best place to attach the other end to?

That's an interesting idea :)..... you could just do an extension tube (1mm over fan size so it fits snuggly over the V7+) The fan however how would that work, would there be enough sucktion to get air from the end of the tube?

Unless you get another fan and place it at the end of the tube pushing air onto the v7+ fan. There is a bit of warn air still being pulled into my v7+....... very intruiging :)

ok, i'm not nuts enough to do that...i dont want/need any fan intakes thru my side pannels....
what i might do though is get some flexible 100mm tubing, and connect it to the lower of the two grills at the back of my case...that should work.....theoreticaly....
