I would suggest either an Abit or a Epox motherboard. Even a Soltek if you plan on unlocking yer duron

With that price you are stuggling to get all of the things you want.
But check out www.dragonpc.co.nz & www.stylespc.co.nz for some of the lowest prices around.
So far looking @ what you can get from www.dragonpc.co.nz I've got:
Case, cheapest there $90
Duron 1ghz $120
Volcano7 heatsink: $35 (you could probably get away with an $18 one if you are not going to clock).
that leaves $200 for a motherboard and some ram. Not alot of room...
256mb ram is $110 dollars, leaving with you less than $100 for a mobo. Not gonna happen.
Try the prices @ www.stlyespc.co.nz just in case you can get a better deal.

Remember Dragon is in ChCh, so add to-Auckland postage to THOSE prices ;) ;).
BTW, SDR mobo's and Duron Morgan's don't mix well. Expect bugs, and possible incompatibilities.
However, THE best overclocking SDR mobo's used to be the Iwill KK266/KK266+ series motherboards. Close behind were the Abit KT7A, the Epox 8KTA3+, and some ASUS trash ( /me still don't like ASUS :p ).

Oh and don't get us started on the "why is ASUS crap" topic.... I'm sure I speak for all when I say, we all tire of that now. Unless KJ want's to have a b!tch about it again
Grrr!!

mmmmk kozmic the AMD Duron 1000 SocketA CPU With Cooler. $120.00 i got my 1.1 duron for 110 inc p&p without tyhe cooler tho but i see that you are already getting one. and yes my mobo is crap for ocing but i was on a tight budget and that was the cheepest motherboard i could get my hands on.
And if you want to be really cheel like me i got some no name hunk of **** ddr ram for $95 i think its pc2100 but im not gunna fiddle with my fsb till i get some decent ram ect because im scared itl blow so il just fiddle with the multiplyer.
oh and a question whats the highest multiplyer setting for a duron 1.1, yes i know every cpu is diferent just like people ect ect but can someone give me a rough estimate? and whats the multiplyer set at? usually?

Your one will be @ 11X I *think*. Anyway that was by dividing the running speed in MHZ by the FSB. (1100/10=11)
