:D Anyone think this would actually work. QWERTY doesn't really do it for me, so am limited to index fingers and thumbs only.

Very bad idea. Lots of those little wee "junior PCs" and the like from places such as DSE have keyboards like that. They're really hard to use I find.

Agree with G4L, a modern keyboard is designed so that the letters you use the most are in the easiest places. As a side note, I've found even the layout of a keyboard can help with the speed at which you can type. Like my MS natural keyboard I find is really good as it was really easy to pick up touch typing on. I know they take a little time to adapt to but it was definitely worth it for me.

No. It's common knowledge that the QWERTY layout was designed specifically to slow typists down. The most logical and efficient keyboard layout is not the QWERTY, but the DVORAK.

I type around 30wpm faster on a natural than I do on a flat keyboard... and I get around 75wpm on a decent flat keyboard...

I want to have a play with a DVORAK keyboard at some stage.

Also I think that this is where it is at, I can see some very good uses for this keyboard ;)

Of course I can't find the site I was looking for now, but it was one handed keyboard

just pop your keys off and change them round... then set your keyboard type in windows (or linux) to DVORAK

My bad, :(

Miss read your post.

Geek - Yeah I'd love to give a DVORAK keyboard a go too. But I have yet to actually find one in the real world.
