In my experience it has been.
But then the purple gay boards came out.
Had my Duron 800 running fine at 1140MHz on a crap coloured DRV2...tried it on a purple gay DRV2 mobo and it wasn't nice(933MHz). DRV4 wasn't much better. swapped over to the DRV5 and it only runs properly at 1066 with lowered BIOS performance settings(mainly due to it being Spitfire core), and doesn't run properly for more than 3 days anywhere over 1100MHz no matter what. :(
Methinks Soltek aren't doing as well with the overclocking mobos these days....good, but not great.
Stability and reliabilty wise I can't fault the Solteks in over a year and a half of using them...I just hope the Glacier Silver boards come with better O/Cing capabilities.
although it could be VIA at fault with ****ty chipsets...
at least their compatibility and reliabilty is better that it used to be.
Maybe I should try and score that DRV2 back...

*Looks at his DRV2*................. ahh how sweet it is :D

I would consider mine a better oc'er than the upper models as well from what I've heard (however I haven't heard much about the DRV4 bein crap). For the price that the DRV2 is versus what a good oc'er it is I'd say that it's a sweet deal.

On the subject of oc'in on this board, well when I take out my SB Live! I can push the fsb up to 162Mhz (1.7Ghz). The SB Live!'s don't like high fsb oc'ing, I read somewhere on a DRV2 review.

I give Soltek 2 thumbs up for this board.

My DRV4 is crap....... I can only get to 150fsb (with all my cards in  ) and one of the dips only functions in the "on" position....... oh well this board is gonna be retired to a test rig and I'm gonna get an Abit KX7 when I can afford it :D

Up date... now my DRV4 changes the multiplier depending on how it feels
This particular sample has put me off soltek

Damn :(... that's not good I.R.

Tried any measures to fix this?

Yeah tired different dip combos.... putting it on auto detect...... now it just goes through to windows as a 1700+ every now and then it might go back to 1800+..... Hence the new sig and custom status.... that and my PSU hasn't arrived after a week

I take it your cpu is unlocked? If so.... failling unlock perhaps?

Well I haven't tinkered inside or moved it... I find it very hard to believe that the conductive paint is sometimes on and sometimes off
Just now it booted up as 1800+ like the dips are set.... 10 boots before it would boot at 1700+.... I haven't touched it or moved it in any way shape or form from the start of those 10 boots...... kinda leads me to think that it's the mobo..... oh well Abit in a couple of weeks :D

Well then it must be just that the DRV4 doesn't like unlocked cpu's very much. Makes me wonder about mine, but I will see very soon :D.
