Anyone had a chance to download and view yet.
I am but 90MB on a dial means the game will be out by the time it's finished.
If someone has it I'd be more than happy to pay for a cd and postage. ;) :D

no burner here, but it is worth the download.
I was pretty much drooling.....
And dont get the .mov one, get the .wmv one which is like 80 megs
better frame rate....
Awesome, awesome stuff, i hope it lives up to the hype when it is released.....

Bleugh, I got the .mov first but it was crap slow, so I had to get the .wmv.
Oh for a unified movie format...

I could burn ya a CD for a few bucks ( anyone know what you'd have to pay for postage? ), but it seems like a waste. Only 98MB? :p
How's about both formats, all the screenshots, a certain other DoomIII GAMEPLAY video that may or may not exist ( if I do or don't have it ;) ). Some UT2003 vids, some.... err, just a sec....
Doh! I've got GB's of the stuff - what do you want?? :D
DoomIII - some 200MB of files
UT2003 - some 700MB of files
other games - few 100MB's - probably adds up to a GB or two....
screenshots, videos, demos, whatever - got any requests?
:D

If you packed it in your own box etc - it would cost $2.95 (PacketPost).

The game comes will come with all necessary tools included. :D
Gamespy interviewed John Carmack at E3 and he said
"A big plus is that all of our tools are now built in to the game, so every release automatically has the tools that were used to build the game. The game also uses the same map file that the editor uses, so the original source data can be opened up with any copy of the game"

Winter (Summer here, natch) 2002 according to PCGAMER UK, but I'd say thats very, very optomistic.

yeh i got it off the jetstream games ftp
are those bits in game??
cos they look so good, they look pre rendered, not in real time
Doom 3 will like have a time demo for it right....??
so what do you all reckon Doom 3 will need, to get it to push min of 60fps at 1280x1024x2aa?? (in the time demo, assuming it is commensurate with all the quake time demos eg not overley complicated but obviously more complicated than Q3 timedemo)
.....??

Info on what specs are needed is kinda sketchy dude.
I've been hanging out for concrete info myself....

The shakycam footage of Doom III looks amazing, lots of blood & gore and stuff.
Especially that bit where the Zombie soldiers like "*sniff sniff* smells like fear!" and busts out with the minigun, oh yeah!

Turns out they were only running the demo on "medium" quality at E3, they used compressed textures rather then the full quality uncompressed textures, ansiotropic filtering turned was off...
You might of heard how ATI was pimping themselves hard over how Doom3 was demonstrated on an ATI video card rather then an Nvida card at E3..... turns out it wasn't a Radeon 8500 as everybody was lead to believe but a next generation ATI card...

There are some interesting comments from the man himself (john carmack) over at slashdot.....
We know for sure that we will be excluding some of the game buying public with fairly stiff hardware requirements, but we still think it is the right thing to do.
.....
It would be possible to carefully craft a DOOM engine game that ran at good speed on an original SDR GF1, but it would cramp the artistic freedom of the designers a lot as they worried more about performance than aesthetics and gameplay.
........
Our "full impact" platform from the beginning has been targeted at GF3/Xbox level hardware. Slower hardware can disable features, and faster hardware gets higher frame rates and rendering quality
