Seeing as the next L3 won't be until january, Weasel, KJ, Elle T and myself were discussing an L3 Summer BBQ.

This one will actually be organised properly unlike the BBQ for the easter lan, but any suggestions/comments are welcome. Also dates people will be available will be handy too.
Also looking at having designated drivers to ferry people who are drinking about.

So, any ideas people? :)

He will be back at his home in the North Island.
I won't be in town for the weekend of the 24/25 Jan and I don't want to miss a third L3 in a row.

I can't even remember when I last got to an L3 it's been so long!

If this BBQ happens sometime after Christmas I'd like to attend, if anyone can even remember who I am anymore that is :)

I shall be moving back christmas day and the few days after so that wouldn't be the ideal time but I'm sure I could squeze it in.

No more 5hr drives to attend L3's, WOOHOO!

yeah the idea has been thrown around before, but seeing as people are interested in properly organising a bbq this time around i am more than happy to help organising :)

the biggest problem we face is a location, and ive come up with the idea of hiring a section of spencer park, or some other park with coin operated bbq's and shelter from the elements.

i will be away for xmas and new years, arriving back in chch 2 weeks into january. so it'll have to be before then.

ideally we would have thought about this a month ago so we could organise a bit better.

anyone who has any ideas can either post in this thread or pm me.

Yeah I would be interested in going, but after xmas would be better I reckon. But im pretty go with the flow on any date really after xmas :D

Spencer Park maybe, but you would have to see how much it cost I guess.

Well the geekflat should be all up and go by then... perhaps we could have it at our place.. then it could be a combo flatwarming.. tho I dont know how many people we could accomodate.. and it would have to be cleared with the other flatmates of course..

Well it would all depend on numbers, I mean we can't have the usual numbers for an L3 turn up to cook steak an drink beer on the lawn...Also for a flat warming there would be some non OCNZ types tuning up as well. Something to think about anyway.

That would be cool Crazy but firstly someone needs to put forward a date and then have everyone agree on it really. Then you will have an idea on numbers.

31st Jan fine by me I would say. As long as its a sat night or sunday, as I work during the week and till 3pm on sat.
