When Mods go Bad - HD/PSU related

so anyway i may of put my PSU inta a wood/perspecs case, was goin fine till turned on & fried 2 HD's (a couple burnt IC's) so basically does any1 have a Maxtor 20Gb(541DX 5400DX) or a SeagateBarracuda ST320430A 20Gb, & would b willing to let me try the board off it on my drive ;) i know its a big ask but its worth a try.

Afaik, someone correct me if i'm wrong.
But some HD's are grounded thru the case.
Some need to be insulated from the case (some old IBM ones)
That might be yer prob ;)
But i aint 100% on that......

doh, a friend of mine busted his modding it..worked ok for a while, musta had some metal shards in it
