Ping Tweaks

Does any one out there know any l337 tweaks for cs, to get lower ping ?

im on clearnet - 56k, and too cheap to go dsl ;/

so if you hav any good ping tweaks/connection tweaks/config tweaks, could you plz hook me up

the only one I know are turn off software compression (in Networking on your dial up properties) and set max speed to 115200 (in general ->configure) :confused:

Do people still play that old piece of trash looking game... You got slighly enhanced quake2 graphical quality right there.. ooh yeah. Not too mention the "been there done that a long time ago and got bored" gameplay.. ooh baby yeah.

Of course you could start playing a superior game like Jedi Knight II or Return to Castle Wolfenstein... vasty superior graphics and network optimized code in there...

i play d2x, my mate gav me a rtcw, but it didnt install... stoopid cd... mayb i will buy it sum day :D

kozmic: if u get jetstream (about $60 a month) theres a thing called sometihng remote interleave or sometihng, and it takes ur ping as low as 10-15, even lower than cable

and with each new version of cs, the ping goes higher

u have to know someone in telecom to get them to do that, but yeh.........depends how low u wanna go..........

It also depends on the location of your server, if it is in USA or some far away place such as the UK, expect quite high pings. Thats why it is best to choose servers in NZ, such as Paradise servers.

Same rules apply for downloading large files.

Bear in mind that it's illegal. So you really have to know somebody IN THE EXCHANGE.
