We had a big old thread for this, and hopefully some new info will come to light. But until then, there is a good link in the second post of this thread.

AFAIK there are no blue screen LCD's available in NZ, your only option would be to bring one in from Crytalfontz or Matrix Orbital. (=$$$$).
Also, you will be struggling to find a 4 line LCD that fits inside a single 5-1/4" bay - I've mounted mine in two, with a hard drive mounted behind the LCD (on rails).

if i sent a faceplace, an lcd and postage, would someone make me an lcd?
like, whats the deal with them, caus its probably real simple and id stuff it by far if i tried it caus im quite unko with a soldering iron, i could also supply the serial cord.
is there anyway to have it inside the case? (the cord)
caus i cant figure anyway xcept for running a cord out the back of your case and plugged into a serial port.
any one?

First of all, most LCD's are parallel to my knowledge.
Serial LCD software is a prick to use....
Only way u can get them internal is getting a PCI/ISA card that has a parallel port on it....
Internally
They do exist, i dont know the name though>
It is relatively simple to wire it up, just point n solder really.
Just use steady hands, and u r away laffing.

1) go with parallel... its easier and more supported
2) in a lot of cases there is a gap between the mobo tray and the blind case panel (the side panel behind the mobo tray) you can use this space for stealthing the cable
3) you will have to cut the end off one end of the cable and reterminate the end with a new connector once the cable is inside the case
4) atx connector panels sometimes have an unused ethernet connector "hole" this is the perfect size and position for a cable to run through... otherwise drill a hole in either the back of your case or your atx connector panel and grommet it
5) once the cable is inside the case.. you may want to consider doing the following, not necessary, but helps if you remove your front bezel a lot.. it just allows more flexibility of options

For that price, you could buy a pre wired one (USB) from skylab complete with shipping.
