Enjoy :D
OS much more zippy now
I had completely given up on any updates.
Might pay to post a bit of info though, let me take care of that :)
Windows XP / 2000 - Unified Driver
Version: 3.13
Release Date: November 3, 2003
Installation Notes
If you are performing an uninstall of your current nForce drivers, your system will have to re-enumerate all devices and restart prior to install of your new package. Multiple restarts may be required; please comply with all instructions to reboot. Failure to do so may cause the install to fail the installation of needed components resulting in system reliability issues.
Windows XP users must install Service Pack 1 prior to attempting to install this package. Failure to do so will result in the inability to support USB 2.0.
Audio drivers will not install on the following nForce2 products: Chaintech 7NJS. Please use the drivers that come with these products to enable audio functionality.
Release Notes
WHQL certified kit for nForce, nForce2, and nForce3
First release of NVIDIA IDE driver for Windows XP and Windows 2000
General compatibility fixes
Audio Improvements:
Realtek ALC655 codec support added
Fix for BSOD on loading DLS files
Reduced susceptibility to audio glitches under heavy system load; additional fixes for 6 channel GetPosition glitches
ASIO support for recording at sample rates other than 48kHz; lower and more predictable latency
Fixes for NOLF. The 3D minimum and maximum distance and the roll off factor were not being taken into account for air absorption. Also modified reverb gain so that the max distance was taken into account
Fix for EAX reverbs; initialized EAX reverbs to off when querying for the EAX listener interface; updated EAX property handlers to ignore invalid parameters instead of range limiting -- this matches Creative EAX behavior

mwarhead has released a driver rollback utility
http://mwarhead.tk/
and there's plenty of reading to be done at nforcershq
http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=28&sid=8970eb8c3308ac06e7046c783fdf6124
My cpu temp went down 2C (ABSII FRN-L), and my mobo temp went down around 4-6C.
My 3dmark2001se score went down to a lowly 9500. This is down from a 13500. The FPS in game #2 was noticeably low.
2100+
9500pro
512 pc2700
FRN-L
Might have a look through nFORCERSHQ threads to see if there are any similar results.

Well my marks are more or less the same as before (ie no change) but windows feel more responsive...
I did a full uninstall of motherboard and ati drivers and then reinstalled and managed to get 11k 3dmarks. Thats alot better. I'm not worried about a couple of k, but below 10k it is kind of dodgy.
Still an unusual score, but 3dmakrs are just a guide :) My comp runs everything smooth as silk ;)

I just installed it on a customers machine, seems to run way better. Fixed a problem the mobo had with the secondary channel & drives.
Didn't let the onboard NIC go though, damn Gigabyte trash

Installed this last night, on my NF7-S V2.0 system.
Did a full uninstall of all NVidia drivers, incuding the Forceware 52 display driver and reinstalled with the new nForce and Forceware (detonator) display drivers.
XP feels a bit faster and seems to boot quicker too. I can't comment on the new IDE driver yet as I only have one IDE device (my hard disks are on SATA RAID0) and wasn't having any problems with it beforehand.
The new Soundstorm audio driver seems better too - the ASIO doesn't lock my PC when playing and clicking a mouse button anymore at least :) (not that I care, I gave up on Soundstorm ASIO and bought a M-Audio Delta soundcard a while ago anyway).
Still no new Soundstorm control panel though...I guess thats for the next release.

I installed these last night as well, mixed feelings here.
Boot up is slower (used to only pause for 3 cycles of the blue bar on the XP startup screen, now it takes ~10).
Windows seems more responsive, but that is probably more due to the recent hdd defrag I did.
Had a random lock up last night while playing a flash file, got a burst of static and then freeze. Not sure what that was about. If it persists (only happened once so far) i'll probably be rolling back.
I had some unusual pauses while playing ET last night. It would hold that screen freezing while holding whatever sound was made when it froze. 2 seconds later it would resume normally. :/ This happened twice.
Never done this before. But ET is a buggy POS.

I installed them this morning and UT2003 seems to pause like MoNk said above but not sure if this is drivers or not yet cause im running my pc on a PSU that can beerly power it, cant over clock due to lack of power.
Im getting a new PSU today so i will see if this still happens
Its a bit quicker booting up takes about quarter pass on the xp loading screen use to take a half pass

Never done this before. But ET is a buggy POS. I had that in ET (without the latest nForce drivers) when overclocking my graphics card. I assumed I'd gone too far and clocked her down a bit and it went away.

Yeah its not bad
just have to have everything jumper correctly and it boots like a rocket relying that its not to fraged
there is a way to make it quicker too
go here
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters]
then modify EnablePrefecter and change it from 3 to 5.
i havent got this on cause it doesnt really make any difference to my boot time but it might help yours
just so you know this doesnt work on every system and can cause problems (but so far i havent had any probs with any system i have put it on)
