I dont care much about nVidia stuff these days, but for those of you that do, they have just released the new detonators under the new name 'Forceware', ver. 52.16 in 2000/XP flavour only at this point.

Rumour has it they screw up Battlefield. Apparently theres a great deal of artifacts, and objects just dissappear - including the ground & its sometimes possible to see through buildings.
This is just something that I have read on a forum, so if anyone would be so kind as to try it out I'd be very greatful. This could be a really bad thing, but at this stage its only a couple of guys saying this.

If nVIDIA stick to their words you guys should see a driver update in 12 months to fix this issue. :p

Sorry i had to say it.

you dont need the 52.16's to do that.. hell it happened to me last week on my 44.65's. A simple reboot *mutters about lost uptime* fixes it

That fills me with a profound sense of joy.

I wonder if DMZ all run nVidia cards... :p

Anyone else having trouble getting video overlays working properly on tv's?

I tried the new drivers and when I tried to watch a movie last night I couldn't get any video overlay to display on the tv, it just showed a blank square where the video should be. Card is Leadtek Ti4200 64mb (AGP4x).

I've rolled back to the 45.23's.

And I found it rather annoying with dual-monitors. So I'm back with the 45's like Swifty :p

Has artifact problems, parts of the map disappears and it does not render properly with the 52.16 - one of nvidia's biggest driver screwups yet.

I LOOOOVE these drivers. Seems as though Nvidia have taken some tips from the dude who does the Omega drivers, these are sex to look at. Especially nice on Max Payne 2 :)

bahh these drivers are crap i tell you, they slowed down BF1942 a lot..like constant 4-5FPS drops..so i rolled back to the old 40.72 drivers and everything went back fine..

never had any problems, BF is faster and no GFX glitches.

If you play DX9 games stay away from this driver...IT SUCKS!
Three of us tried it on Call Of Duty...When the game loaded ithe screen just flashed  Had to roll back the driver. If you want a great performing video driver (for Nvidia or Ati) there is only 1 place to get them.

im using the 52.70. msi have released but apparenly nvidia havent released on their site.

doesnt have any problems with battlefield (but i didnt try the 52.16's so i duno if that will help any of u guys that did)

a friend of mine gave them to me but i think he aquired them from guru3d (http://www.guru3d.com)

there is a notable increase in fps and i dont think the quality has dropped...

quick check on the nvidia site and nup, they are still hosting the 52.16.

They're included as part of the nforce 2 driver pack now. Doesn't seem 100% compatible with Riva Tuner - 60hz fix didn't come up forinstance. Back I go.

I'd love to see a thorough driver comparison site - anyone know of one? It'd have to be done by someone suitably thorough (read:anal) - Tom's need not apply

yeah i cant be botherd with the new drivers, im using 43.45's. they are good but rivia tuner and the nvidia control panel give out different aa readings. Rivia tuner claims its 8X while nvidia claims its 0X.

The only number they settle on is 4X

just got these from guru3d and the seem to work ok, still have artifact issues with eliteforce2 but that could be the game and not the drivers - any ideas
