Well we have the 'useful' programs thread but I was wondering what sort of programs you guys would chuck onto a CD to make a computer toolkit.
The idea being that you take the computer toolkit with you to clients with all the programs you should need (minus drivers etc. of course) in case they don't have net access.
So far a few of the apps I've collected for it are:
TCPview (http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/tcpview.shtml)
ProcessViewer (http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/procexp.shtml)
Spybot (http://security.kolla.de/)
Stinger (Simple but limited AV prog) (http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=stinger)
Various 'useful' programs from the other thread... putty, vnc, winzip, acrobat, adaware, grc.com tools (leaktest, unPnP etc), codecs etc
What other programs would you guys recommend?

I thought of starting a similar thread a while ago CP.
A few must have proggies that are now in my arsinal (sp?) include.
A BOOT DISK - This is an absolute necessity.
Easy Recovery Pro - This program is capable of repairing MSoffice documents, retrieving data off of a formated or physically damaged hard drive. It scanning tools are way more powerful than scandisk or chkdsk.
Memtest -
Symantic Removal Tools - These are little apps released by Symantec to check and remove specific Virii and Trojans. Generally I have half a dozen of the latest/most virilent ones on my usb key.
I can't remember the others and it's still the weekend. So I'm not thinking about work til tomorrow.
Will update though.

Cheers for that lemur, never thought about easy recovery pro or memtest even though they're in my Apps folder.
I saw stinger linked on [H] and it seems similar to your symantec removal tools. It only detects around 32 viruses with current def's but they're all the common ones that would probably count for 9/10 of current infections.

Whats more if you biff all these onto CD and make it bootable using a floppy with similar DOS utilities you are covered for most non-boot environments :D

Come on guys, surely there must be other apps out there you'd consider a essential to put onto a cd like this?

partition manager (http://www.ranish.com/part/) is a boot manager and hard disk partitioner.
It gives users a high level of control for running multiple operating systems (freeDOS, freeBSD, linux, and windows 9x/2k/xp).

I think this one is worthy of bumping the thread. This one got me out of a huge mess the other week ;)
