LOL I would of swapped my 7500 for it, sold it and brought a 8500 :)

BTW: the R7000 is ghey, it has no T&L engine, you mean the R7500/200

Hmm, Radeon 7000 = Radeon LE = Hyper-Z disabled, only Radeon Mobility has Charisma engine disabled (ie no TL)

Radeon 7200 = Radeon VE

And most Radeon 7500LE is SD based (normal R7500 is DDR based), while 7200 is actually DDR and SDR based (saw one for the price of GF2MX400, should be a real bargain)

And as far as i know most ppl @ CS r n00bs.... they do not know that GF4MX is slowerthan GF3s....:confused:

A Radeon 7200 DDR = Radeon VE DDR = GF2GTS
A Radeon 7200 SDR = Radeon SDR = GF2MX

oh yeah i was getting confused with the Radeon7000 DDR (64-bit)...

i was looking at getting one of those 7200s when they were first made available in NZ but when i went to order one i got a reply saying the suppliers had decided not to import them, which left me with a choice between the 7000 or the 7500 - neither of which suited me. pissed me off :(

Have a look on the ATI website, the R7000 doesn't have the Charisma engine. :rolleyes:
the R7200 is just a Radeon SDR, with twin monitor support.
The 7500LE doesn't have hyper-Z disabled its just clocked slower, it is disabled on the Radeon LE, which is a Radeon DDR with a different bios (wow, so hard to fix :) )
The radeon VE is the older .18 version of the R7000, and yeah, mird is right, the VE, 7000 and 7200 can come in either 64 bit DDR or 128 bit SDR

and NT does not blow... I luv it :)

A Radeon 7200 DDR = A Radeon 7200 SDR = Radeon SDR = GF2MX
Radeon DDR = Radeon LE DDR = Radeon 7500 (but faster) = Radeon 7500 LE (still faster, but sometimes with SDR :( ) = GF2GTS
Radeon VE = Radeon 7000 = really ghey

yeah kind of. ATI themselves only ever released a 128-bit SDR 7200 (AFAIK), but there are some third party vendors (FIC was one) that released a 7200 DDR (128-bit).

ok, but for playing a game like CS, there isn't going to be that much difference in frame rates between say a GF4MX and a GF3Ti, but if you try out a newer game(say RTCW) I'm sure it will really sort things out. Also who buys a flash, powerful graphics card for an old game, you buy it for performance on the new games which have just been released, or about to be released in the next 6 months or so.

Moral: modern graphics cards are for modern games, anything released now will blow away older games.

heh, i saw the first few posts and realised you are talking about hazmat

i know the guy, he's real nice and has helped me out in times of crisis, he lent me win 2k when i my drive was formatted and my os disc was scratched.

he mucked around in my bios and got me an extra 300 3d marks
(no he didnt turn the agp slot on)

he might of seemed a bit n00bish then, but he's really nice.
