Hi guys.
Sometime ago I was reading through the posts and someone said the best MODEM to get. It was about $40 but I cant find the post again so anyone got any ideas what is was. or were it is posted.

From personal experience, I find that the Liteon drives are a little more forgiving with scratched media.

These days a modem is a modem. It's not worth spending rediculous amounts because in the end its just a 56k modem and no one cares about cpu usage, driver quality etc. Just get the cheapest one you can find, which will probably be a Pragmatic 56k.
Aopen vs Liteon... Liteon anyday. I've had my fair share of troubles with faulty Aopen CDRW's and they're now on my avoid list. Liteon seem to have a good name around here. :)
