Once again we see droolable graphics on a next-gen engine that show that it's TEXTURES, not raw polygon counts, that will take games to the next level.

You should remember that DoomIII didn't actually have insane poly counts - just very clever and detailed texturing ;).

Well - it's by Ubi-Soft, so expect much.

Their last game, IL-Sturmovik was legendary as well ( it's out now ). In fact, I seem to remember posting a thread on that in the old for.... heh :D

They released a few patch for IL2 that added 10 planes, new maps etc - FREE. They seem to really back their flight-sims up! :)

I was a flight-sim nut once. I had European Air War, Falcon 4.0, EF2000, Janes F15 and of course the almighty F-22 Air Dominance Fighter. I wasn't into those Microsoft Flight Sims tho - if ya can't blow anything up, what is the point of playing? I mean really, who wants to fly a 757 cargo plane?! :rolleyes:

I haven't played a flight sim for quite some time, but those images make me want to go out and buy a new joystick. :eek:

As for LHX yeah that was a great game. I downloaded it recently, boy it sure seems lame now a days.
