You could create a restore point, although if you're like me, system restore would be the first thing I'd strip out.

Definately going to have a play around with it though.

System restore is the first thing I nuke after an install hehe

Is Windows File Protection ok to disable? .. I couldn't care less about "securing my files" ..?

Sounds like it would be for the "this file has just been replaced, do you still want to use this or revert back to the original" message.

I'd leave it there for some weird reason.
